Welcome to the Frederick Symphony Orchestra's
2008-2009 Season!

Elisa Koehler
Music Director
& Conductor

Dear FSO Friends,

This promises to be our best season ever!

As the orchestra continues to grow in size and quality, our concerts are packed with dynamic repertoire. Following the resounding success of last year’s Holiday Pops concerts, we will again present two performances of this perennial audience favorite.

Our cast of soloists this year includes the dazzling Brazilian trumpeter Luis Engelke and Virginia-based cellist David Cho. Be sure to catch a rising star in May when local soprano Jennifer Waters performs the sumptuous Four Last Songs of Richard Strauss on a program that also features Mahler’s Symphony No. 1. From a “Latin Fiesta” to music that is truly “Out of This World” there’s something for everyone.

If you haven’t heard the FSO in a few years, come and hear what everyone’s talking about. We’ll be sure to save a seat for you.
