The FSO is seeking qualified musicians to play for the upcoming 2017-2018 season, with rehearsals starting on Thursday, September 7th at 7:30 PM.
The Frederick Symphony Orchestra is a semi-professional, community orchestra in residence at Frederick Community College (FCC) in Frederick, MD. The orchestra performs 5 concert programs annually, and rehearse weekly on Thursday evenings at FCC, September-June.
All available positions are unpaid/voluntary assignments. There are openings in each of the string sections as well as member and substitute openings in the brass and wind sections. We currently have openings in our bassoon, trumpet and trombone sections.

Portions of two different works (can be solos or orchestral excerpts)
Auditions are held in Room F-145 at Frederick Community College, 7932 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD 21702. We will have a representative in the lobby of the Fine Arts Building/JB Kussmaul Theater to help guide you. There are also a few practice rooms that should be available if you’d like to come early.
